Express Entry & Provincial Nominee Program (PNP)
Express Entry and Provincial Nominee Program are 2 major economic streams to immigrate to Canada.
The Express Entry manages three federal sub-programs, called, Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSWP), Canadian Experience Class (CEC) and Federal Skilled Trades Program (FSTP).
The Canadian provinces and territories manage the Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) stream, which includes multiple sub-programs that are either aligned with the Express Entry in-take system (mixed system) or are managed directly by the provinces and territories.
The advantage of PNPs is that they are considered to be alternative ways of immigrating to Canada. If you do not qualify for a federal immigration sub-program because you do not have the right skills or experience, then you may still qualify under a provincial program. For example, most federal programs do not recognize “self-employment” as the work experience, but the Ontario PNP recognizes the self-employment as a legitimate experience.
The first step is to figure out for what stream you qualify the most? If you currently live in Canada, then most likely the CEC is the appropriate program for you. Depending on the province you live in, a PNP sub-program also could be appropriate for you.
However, if you live overseas, then most likely you qualify for the FSWP, FSTP or PNP (mixed or direct in-take), depending on your education, experience, knowledge of English and where you want to live in Canada, etc.

Every two weeks we will monitor your application and if necessary, make inquiries regarding the application with the Ministry of Immigration, Refugee and Citizenship Canada.

pilot programs
If you cannot immigrate through the regular immigration programs, then you may immigrate through the Canadian temporary pilot programs.
The Immigration and Refugee Protection Act (IRPA) lets the Government of Canada to run various pilot programs of temporary nature.
Currently, Canada runs 4 pilot programs: Atlantic Immigration Pilot, Agri-food Pilot, Rural and Norther Immigration Pilot, and Home Child Care Provider and Home Support Worker Pilot.
The pilots are the “real deal” programs; many individuals have successfully immigrated to Canada through them. These programs are temporary and have limited capacity for in-take applications, so rush to give us a call to guide you through the various requirements.

- Complete Assessment Test form;
- Inform us of your time and date availability by e-mailing Arcadia;
- Receive confirmation and preliminary instructions from us on next steps;
- Pay for the consultation. Please note that we cannot provide you with the professional advice without a prior booking and payment;
- Attend the consultation via the video or audio Internet service.
- Discuss your case and answer all questions;
- Advise on which steps, options and timelines are available to you;
- Advise on the approximate fees associated with the service you are interested in.
- If you agree to proceed, sign a Retainer Agreement. (By signing the agreement, you officially agree to its all terms and formally appoint Arcadia Immigration Consulting Inc as your legal representative);
- The Retainer Agreement will outline all fees and payment schedules;
- There are three types of fees, all of which will be outlined in the Retainer Agreement:
- Professional fees – fees for the work we do on your case (flat fee or hourly);
- Government processing fees – fees that the Government of Canada is charging you for processing your application or case.
- Disbursements – other fees associated with the application. For example, translation fees, printing and photocopying fees, courier fees, taxes, if applicable, etc.
- There are two main types of documents that we will ask from you:
- Documents (Applications) that are part of the government requirements: for each type of application, there exists a strict list of documents that the government requires from you to provide. Failure to provide these will result in your application being returned without the immigration officer even reviewing your details.
- Documents that will increase the chances of your application being approved: These documents are not required by the Government, but they substantially increase your chances of being approved.
- Legal (Judicial) Submission:
- A document outlining all arguments, legal grounds and common law cases in support of your case;
- Essential document because in the submission we are convincing the government to approve your application. We are not simply putting your documents together and adding our seal to them, we are ensuring that your situation is presented in a strong and convincing way.
- Submit documents on-line or in the mail, depending on the application;
- The courier or post fees may apply.
- Receive the Acknowledgment of Receipt (AOR) and instructions, if applicable in your case;
- Monitor status of the application. If your application is approved, there are often additional steps the government will ask you to do in order to finalize it. We will provide you with detailed instructions and explanation about any such steps;
- Communicate with the government if the AOR or status updates were delayed.
- Arcadia Immigration Consulting Inc does not make decisions on your application/case. Our duty is to represent your interests in the best possible way, so that the government may decide in your favour;
- Only the Government of Canada via the Employment and Social Development Canada (ESDC), the Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) and Immigration and Refugee Board of Canada (IRB) makes decisions on your case;
- We have no control over processing times, apart from submitting the reminders or enquiries to the government about your file.
